Dr. Jill Waibel

A board certified dermatologist specializing in laser surgery, Dr. Waibel is the Founder and Medical Director of the renowned Miami Dermatology and Laser Institute in Miami, Florida.

One of Dr. Waibel’s primary passions is the treatment of scars, especially burn scars, by using the most advanced cutaneous laser technologies. She has successfully developed industry-leading procedures and techniques for treating the scars of burn survivors, and has received recognition from her peers for her dedication to clinical research in this area. These innovative laser treatments benefit both medical and cosmetic outcomes, and literally change lives. Dr. Waibel currently serves as a Clinical Voluntary Professor at University of Miami and Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology for Wright State University, and is the Dermatology Subsection Chief in the Department of Medicine at Baptist Hospital. She is involved in numerous clinical trials in the field of general, cosmetic and laser dermatology and has been the primary investigator in studying the use of lasers and burn patients working with a team at the University of Miami. An avid researcher, she has developed patents related to laser and stem cells. Dr. Waibel’s work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, and she is a frequent lecturer at laser surgery and dermatology meetings internationally.
